The Shed is the home to:
Community’s Refuge Inc, a nonprofit organization that offers heavily subsided hire rates for community to deliver events and workshops focused on wellness, creativity and connection.
Parana Whole Foods - an organic wholefood store.
The Shed Cafe’ - Serving Yallingup roasted coffee and light bites.
Our Committee
Community’s Refuge is run by volunteers that help us manage, organise, promote and fundraise for our amazing cause.
The Committee are made up of passionate people who want to make a difference. If you would like to join this amazing bunch of people please get in touch.
Positions Available on the Committee - June 2023
Treasurer: Oversee the financial administration of the organisation, review procedures and financial reporting, advise the board on financial strategy, and advise on fundraising.
Secretary: Arrange meetings, prepare an agenda, record minutes, and keep the committee informed of any matters arising.

Our origin story.
The Shed's story began with Carlyle family trip to the 'Earth Fair Food Market' in Cape Town. This marketplace ignited a flame within them that burned too hot to be extinguished.
As fate would have it, the stars aligned, and @The Shed Markets was born. Little did they know the incredible impact it would have when they embarked on this venture. Their journey wouldn't have been possible without the many helping hands and trusting hearts they encountered along the way.
Over the course of seven remarkable years, @The Shed Markets became a hub for small business incubation, fostering a sense of community and joy. It has left an indelible mark on their hearts. Now, it's time for @The Shed Markets to embark on a new direction.
Enter Community's Refuge, a grassroots non-profit led by a group of passionate locals determined to make a difference. They have taken the reins, leasing the space to transform it into a vibrant community hub with the same values as @The Shed Markets has always held.
As @The Shed Markets transitions into this exciting new phase, they invite you to be a part of their journey. Join them in celebrating local businesses, fostering connections, and creating a welcoming space that brings people together. The future holds endless possibilities, and together, we can make a positive impact in our community.
